FIELD DAY SITE

(Section J only)

Station assembly
Radio equipment, antennas, masts, generators etc. may be transported to the field day site 24 hours before the start of the contest and assembly can start immidiately.

Installations
The station including antennas and power supply must under no circumstances be operated from or supported by buildings or other fixed structures. All equipment except antennas shall be within a 500 meter radius. The station must be operated from the same locator throughout the contest.

Equipment
Only one station must operate on each band. Electrical power should be from local generators, batteries, solar panels etc. The equipment must under no circumstances be connected to the mains supply.

CONTACTS Each contacted station counts only ones even if it is /A, /P etc.
Duplicates must not be deleted from the log, but shall be listed as a normal QSO with zero (0) points. In case points are claimed for a duplicate QSO, ten times the claimed points will be deducted.
No contacts via active repeaters or EME are allowed.
All operation in accordance with IARU Region 1 bandplans.
EXCHANGE RS(T) + QSO number, starting with 001 for the first contact on each band, increasing by one for each contact + locator.
POINTS 50 MHz, 144 MHz and 432 MHz
1 point/km + 500 bonus points per WWL.

Microwave
1 point/km * band multiplier + 500 bonus points per WWL, regardless of band. Band multipliers:
1,3 GHz * 1
2,3 GHz * 2
3,4 GHz * 3
5,7 GHz * 4
10 GHz * 5
24 GHz * 6 etc.

For each section the log is calculated separately. Final score for section A to H is the sum of all QSO points + the sum of locator bonuses. In the Field Day All Band section, J, the band score on 432 MHz is multiplied by 2 and the band scores on the microwave bands are multiplied by 3. Total score: band score 50 MHz + band score 144 MHz + band score 432 MHz x 2 + microwave band score x 3. The participants calculate their points themselves and include them with the log on a summary sheet.

AWARDS The three best in each section will receive EDR's contest award. And the best from each country will receive the EDR contest award.
